A bright, copper coloured rosé with flavours of juicy redcurrant, pink grapefruit and smoky Armagnac supported by aromas of citrus and spice and soft, lasting bubbles with a more-ish finish. Layered and gently complex from four years maturation.
Salmon pink in colour, with exuberant bubbles, smooth red berries, ripe peaches, and cherry blossom on the nose and palate. Balanced and lifted by a subtle refreshing acidity.
In 2010 Mark Darley commissioned a detailed viticultural survey of a south facing field at the family farm. The survey came back with a glowing report: perfect slopes, great altitude and wonderful free draining soil.
The parish church of St. Michael and All Angels dates from at least the 12th century although some say has features that date it to much earlier times, possibly Saxon.
