Harvest 2026 - blink and you'd miss it!

Harvest 2026 - blink and you'd miss it!

What a difference a few years makes… 🍇

In 2017, we harvested our chardonnay on the 4th November. This year we started on the 2nd September. More than two months earlier.

A striking reminder of just how much our growing seasons can change — and why no two vintages are ever quite the same.

So - how has harvest been for 2026?

All signs are pointing strongly to quality over quantity.

The high levels of sunshine and solar radiation we’ve seen this year have accelerated ripening. The grapes may be smaller and yields definitely lower, but that smaller fruit is bringing beautifully concentrated flavours. Less in the bunch, more in the grape.

And the potential quality? Off. The. Charts.

There’s still a long way to go before we see these juices on the shelf, and as ever, nature gets the final say — but we’re incredibly excited to see what this vintage becomes. 🥂

A huge thank you to all of our Vineyard Volunteers, without which we would not have kept to the rigid timetable of picking over the last few weeks, we are humbled by the commitment, energy and passion you bring to our team and community.
