School Field Trip to All Angels!

School Field Trip to All Angels!

Supporting the local community is important to us at All Angels, whether that be through working with the local charities we choose each year or in other ways.

This July we had the fun of a Field Trip round our vineyards at Church Farm for pupils at Enborne C of E Primary School. The weather was dry – thank goodness - and glorious and the pupils impeccably behaved.

Their teachers, in conjunction with us, put together a whole series of questions to answer based on what they saw at Church Farm – not just in the vineyards. Many of the questions related to the diverse natural environment of the Farm, identifying plum trees, dog roses and other plants; pairing leaves with their trees; identifying the animals we have here (not the dogs!); identifying the different grape varieties and so on.  Even a question about how long it takes to turn grapes into wine!

The glorious weather also meant the pupils could have drinks and biscuits outside, though the drink was confined to unfermented grape juice!

Hopefully this is just the first annual Field Trip from our local school.
