Pale gold in colour.

Lemon, apple and pear, alongside aged flavours of softly baked biscuit.

Dry and fresh on the palate, with a beautifully balanced acidity and gentle, playful bubbles.

Long lingering finish.

The Buyer Magazine, Roger Jones:
"Clean fresh persistent, focused. Tastes as if it has some age. Biscuity lemon peel complex textured. Gentle bubbles. Refined, elegant finish. There is a nutty, praline nose. Soft stone fruit apricot
Has a weighty luxurious feel, great wine".

Matching Food and Wine, Fiona Beckett
"Really good...Appealingly smooth and creamy with a nice touch of citrusy freshness".

Wiltons (London), Paola Giraldo
"Elegant on the nose and perfumed, rich and intense on the palate".

Street XO (London), Raphael Thierry
"Toasted almonds on the nose and a creamy palate with melon, peach, ripe citrus and some autolytic complexity"

Sexy Fish (London), Roberto Sanchez
"Pear and apple on the nose, leading to a really well-balanced palate that’s intense, fresh and vibrant - a good match for either salads or sushi".

The Independent, Terry Kirby
(Merry England)
"Over in Enborne in Berkshire, the All Angels vineyard is named after the local 12th-century parish church of St Michael and All Angels and based on a historic house and estate. Their wines are also made at Hattingly, but reflect the individual flavour of the vineyards, by adding a little pinot gris – which can work very well in England for still wines – to the traditional varieties for their Classic Cuvee 2014 which delivers just enough weight and complexity to round out the vibrant lemony, slightly nutty flavours".

2014 was an excellent growing year. Bud burst was mid-April and there was little frost to cause damage, followed by near perfect weather at all critical stages. This led to a bumper harvest of outstanding quality fruit and a wine perfectly balanced with delicious fruit, refreshing acidity and a great ability to age beautifully.
